Privacy policy

The short version

We collect two things: what you type into our contact form, and anonymous analytics about how the site is used. We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers. If you want your data deleted, email info@appextechnology.com and we will remove it.

Information you give us

The contact form asks for your name, email address, and a description of your project. Company name, budget range, and timeline are optional. We also record which page or campaign referred you, so we know where enquiries come from.

We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, if we work together, to run the engagement. We do not add you to a marketing list from a contact form submission, and we do not pass your details to anyone else.

Information collected automatically

We use PostHog for product analytics to understand which pages are useful and where people get stuck. It records page views, clicks, and general device and browser information, and it stores an identifier in a cookie and in your browser’s local storage so repeat visits can be recognised. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles, and we do not share it with advertising networks.

If you would rather not be included, enabling your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting or using an ad or tracker blocker will prevent this collection. It has no effect on how the site works for you.

Who processes data for us

Running this site and responding to enquiries involves a small number of providers:

• Convex — stores contact form submissions in our database.
• Resend — delivers the notification email that tells us you got in touch.
• PostHog — product analytics, as described above.
• Cloudflare — DNS, and the Turnstile widget that keeps spam out of the contact form.
• Vercel — hosts the site and keeps standard server request logs.

Each processes data only to provide its service to us. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, for any purpose.

Client project data

This policy covers this website. Where we build or host software for a client, that data lives in the client’s own cloud account and under their own policies — one of the reasons we prefer self-hosting. Engagements involving personal or regulated data are governed by the agreement signed for that project, including a data processing agreement or business associate agreement where one is required.

How long we keep things

Contact form submissions are kept while there is an active or prospective relationship, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our own records. Analytics data is retained according to PostHog’s standard retention. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, request its deletion, or object to how we use it. Email info@appextechnology.com and we will action it. We will not ask you to justify the request, and using these rights will not affect how we deal with you.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are validated server-side and protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Access to stored enquiries is limited to people at Appex Technology who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not collect payment details or sensitive categories of personal data through this website at all, which is the most effective protection available.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting how we use information already collected will be communicated directly to anyone affected.
